Listen up all you newcomers! We need local places to ride in the KC area for those after work, wife wont let you ride all day and all you night shifters that want to get a few hours of seat time in. If you know of any, let us know. Some of us would even be willing to do a pay per use scenario. We are trying to talk to a landowner in Independence at a spot where the previous owner allowed us to ride. This is some pretty decent riding and we may need to grease the wheel for them. I will keep you posted on this. Unfortunately, some riders dont respect the property of others and this is what got us pushed out of this local spot. We shouldnt have to tell you that there is a place for donuts and on someones well groomed yard is not one of them. So let us know what you got or where you go!

That would be great Johnny! As we have all seen in the past sometimes its best if there is a place where one person holds the golden keys to the paradise, it tends to keep the bad apples in check and the riding open. Some would say your a gentleman and a scholar, but I will just shake your hand and buy you a beer! Yes Toddmac, I will buy you one too!

I have seen a lot about the Tiffany Springs area but it seems like for every good thing I read, then something else bad is right behind it. Sounded like no one wanted to put money into it on the last thing I read. As far as hosting a ride, that would be awesome! We are always wanting to ride close since DW is quite a drive. I think you would find any of us to be most grateful for a new place to ride for some scenery change.

i grew up riding motorcycles on the old quarrys that johnny is talking about till part became conservation and the rest became private property. and now he has keys thats great. Hay john how much of the bluff can you ride or is it just in the quarry?i remember me and your brother jeff used to go almost all the way to Amazonia at least to the french bottums.

Amazonia,,,French Bottoms,,,,it sounds by those names that I had better buy me some high end foo foo riding gear and make sure the quad has alittle something fancy on it. I hope you all wont be embarrassed when I show up wearing Dickies coveralls or if its warm, a fox jersey with jeans. Toddmac, your really gonna have to do some wardrobe upgrades to ride here! Either way, I want to go see the bluffs of Amazonia and ride all the way to the French Bottoms,,,,wait a minute,,,,this aint code to go to the strip club is it?

The quarry is great place to ride with some nice hills an over look the river you can see kansas from up on top . Tom We have a cramp load of trails from my house south of moms I even took my skid loader thru the woods an made jumps here an there . We can ride over to huntoon road . Every now an then We get brave an cut thru consevasion land an up the tracks to the quarry an up to amazonia bar for lunch . The consirvasion land still has alot of nice trails but alot of trees down . On the south side of it between highland an the water tower is city property , an alot of cleaned trails your abour 75% safe riding on it still .

You guys are killin me here! Damn it all I hate winter time!!! Plus all that talk about French bottoms and my mind is a whirl with trails lined with hot french girls from St. Joe to Amazonia.....sheesshhh. I think Amazonia is where those Amazon warrior women hang out..that would be good for AJ, he needs someone to square him away. I'm moving to St. Joe...now who's got a garden shed I can live in?

Hey yamahammer,,,,welcome to the group. Glad to have you here. I am just assuming that if you have to park where you are out of site then permission has not exactly been granted. Don't get me wrong, I am no stick in the mud, but I have been on a place or two that was told "hey check out this cool place" only to encounter either the police or an angry land owner, for example 40 and Noland in Independence, rode there several times with someone who said it was OK and then the next time trees were downed all over the trails. Just a thought.

its not that anyone lives nearby there, just my transportation for my bike isnt legal yet..... check it out on google maps, type in arrowhead stadium. the little bridge that crosses blueridge blvd. that dirt spot next to it is part of the trails. they go from 47th st. to 435. that dirt patch is where a big jump is at.

I will check it out and thanks for the info. I have noticed that your posts are very early in the morning so either you work a 2nd shift or your just getting home from the strip club and thinking "I really thought she liked me!" and decided to drop in here and say hello. Whatever the reason, thanks for coming by.
